He reaches for me!

He reaches for me,
I was in an awful relationship a short while ago, maybe not even a true relationship. We had nothing in common, never liked being around eachother, and argued like crazy: we just liked getting intimate, to be completely honest. I knew it was wrong for me, and I rebelled against God as hard as I could, because I didnt want him to fix me. But the entire time I was in this "relationship" I wanted someone from the church to reach out to me, and talk to me, or ask me: "Samantha, whats wrong? Why havn't you been coming to church lately?" or "Samantha, whats wrong?" But nobody ever did, like I wanted them to. Nobody payed complete attention to me. But last night, while watching Passion of the Christ, I realized God was the one reaching out to me. And asking me: "Samantha, what are you doing?" I remember there was one night we were about to go all the way (sorry, I dont prefer to use the actual word) and I felt God whispering in my ear "This is just another part of your heart your giving away ..." & I backed off, because I remember how bad it had hurt me the first time.
So now, I am out of that awful relationship. I'm running towards God, probably not as good as I could be right now, but Im running towards him.
But in my toughest time, He was there for me, and now I can finally say that with absolute belief.
_+The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. - Psalm 28:7 NIV.

Media.

What I see in the media: Are underdressed woman prancing around trying to be role models.

What I see in the media: Are men, with their pants sagging extremely too low.

What I see in the media: Are Disney Channel starts becoming trashier everyday.

What I see in the media: Are stars blowing up at their husbands / wifes.

What I see in the media: Are people saying its absolutely fine to get knocked up at 16.

What I see in the media: Are people saying its absolutely fine to get hammered at 15.

What I see in the media: Are people pushing the belief of evolution.

What I see in the media: Are 17 year old girls dancing around in a bird cage with a pair of undies & a bra on.

What I see in the media: Is oil spilling in our water, and no one trying to stop it.

What I see in the media: Are people going on TV having to have DNA tests because they cant figure out who their "baby daddy" is.

What I see in the media: Are people starving, and dying.

What I see in the media: ARE SELFISH, STUCK UP, SNOBS.

What I see in the media: Are parents spending 100's of 1,000's of dollars on sweet 16 birthday parties.

What I see in the media: Is a push for legal gay marriages.

What I see in the media: Is the push to remove God from everywhere possible.

What I see in the media: Is drug and gang violence.

What I see in the media: Are people saying sex before marriage is ok.

What I see in the media: Are broken hearts.

What I see in the media: Are kid shows corrupting kids.

What I see in the media: IS COMPLETE DRAMA.

What I see in the media: Makes me not want to live in America.

What I see in the media: Disgusts me.

- I havn't watched much TV lately, only because I've been so busy with color guard and work, and everything else. But when I do watch TV, I'm completely appolled (?) by what I see. I see Lady Gaga (AKA, Lady Gagme) on TV in underwear and a bra, with skanky heels booty dancing left and right - and people, sadly, encourage that. The same with Miley Cyrus. It makes me extremely sad that she was once a Disney Channel star, to be honest. When I was younger and first started watching "Hannah Montana", she was somewhat of a role model to me. She's the one that got me into acting, and liking those sorts of things. Now? Im just disgusted by her honestly. Sure, she may have a "nice" voice, but she's extremely far from innocent. Her new music video? No, its gross -

I mean really? Do you see this? She's 17, which makes me sad & extremely upset that the media could do something like this to her. The same with Vanessa Hudgens, Brittany Spears: so many other starts have just been turned and tweaked by the media. It also upsets me, because this is rubbing off onto MY generation. The generation IM growing up in. And it doesnt make me happy, and I will fight against it: with allll my wittle will power:

& that, is what I think about the _ Media.

In Samanthas Head,

There are currently many things. I just dont even know where to start.
Well, Im still on my vacation: and I just dont wanna go home. I painted my grandpas fingernail (singular, nail) hott hott pink & he loves it. Im somewhat in the middle of the book "Breaking Dawn" = one of the best Twilight books evaa. I've probably gained like, THOUSANDS of pound since I've been here. I need a new phone, mine is just so ghetto. I've been getting up so early lately, its awfully weird. After "bonding" with my family so far this vacation, I've realized how ... different ... they are. Somewhat in a bad way, but dont get me wrong: I love them alottt. My moms friend Deanna has a blind child named Jessie (who is so sweet!); we were all swimming today and my sister accidently hit her in the face & left a gash right below her lip on the left side; scariest thing.

Well thats it for now, since Im leaving the house to go back to the hotel.
More later.

Much love*.

Vacation.

Has basically, in a single word been, amazing!

We stayed in a Comfort Inn for 2 days, then went to a place called Zehnders (knock off of Great Wolf Lodge). But hey, it was super fun. First night there, I was so so bored. I mean, I have two younger cousins & two younger siblings: so I needed someone to hang with! I took my sister Emma down the two BIGGGEST slides there, and man was it awesome! We got into the water park early, and stayed until it closed: yeah, we got our $$$ worth. Then this morning we went back about an hour after it opened (I fell asleep after eating breakfast ... oops). But then, I took my youngest Cousin Hope down a little "kiddie" slide. We went down over, and over, and over again. The lifeguards got used to us ... honestly. We then went to my other cousins house. Well, they're my moms cousins ... not exactly mine. But anywhooos, they have a cabin on the lake, and we visited them there. Now, Im at my auntie K's hizzous just hanging around.
My grandfather bought me a parfait from McDonalds, hmm.
Oh, I completely forgot to mention we went to an MLB game :D Detroit Tigers vs. Seattle Mariners. Yeah, we lost /:
Oh welllllllll, thats been my vacation pre Chicago :)

Trust Exercise With God.

So, I was at Vertical tonight (my youth group), and Mrs.Brooke / Dallas preached on Esther. Mrs.Brooke was talking about that God will give us assignments to "build" our trust, and I asked for that. I asked for trust.
So as Im coming home from youth, Gods like "Drive".
Scared as I was, I listened and obeyed. I drove for about 20 - 25 minutes just listening to my worship music and driving: windows down and everything :)
After about 15 minutes of listening to him tell me where to go, I had NO idea where I was and I was absolutely frightened.
I was like "God, where are you taking me?" He didnt answer.
After a few turns he said: "Home".
And I said to him: "But I have no idea where I am. Where do I go?"
So he says: "Turn left ... and right ...".

So on and so forth until I got home. I thought it may have been pointless, but good thing I listened to God :)

She,

Is oficially my role model. Britt Nicole, yes indeed. I heard about her first I think through Kayla Yarborough. I heard some of her music on New LIfe 91.9, and I fell in love with it! Not just for the fact that her voice is amazing but just the things she sings about lift me up.

I was reading her personal blog earlier, and she was talking about how she went to ... (somewhere) ... on a missions trip. She had updates, and pictures, and was just talking about how God got her through: she is amazing.

I also love how real she is. Like, she talked to my youth pastor for hours (awhile ago) and she danced at my dance studio. Porter (my youth pastor) was telling me how she had dreams of doing what shes doing now, and its just so amazing to see that she's actually doing it.

Her music lifts me up, and she speaks real.

Britt Nicole, is my role model.
